Jonathan Rachman was born in the Lampung province of Sumatra, Indonesia. Educated in Switzerland, he has called both Lausanne and Bluche his home in Switzerland. He has since made San Francisco, Carmel and the Bay Area in California his home for most of his life. Jonathan has been together with his husband Stephen for almost twenty-seven years, six years of which they have been married legally. They are blessed with fifteen ‘fairy’ godchildren that they call their ohana. Besides being an internationally recognized interior designer, Jonathan is a travel addict, but his favorite island and future home is Bali.
